Bulk Asset Tools - Blender Add-on

This tool adds the ability to perform actions on multiple assets at the same time whether they are in the same file or not.

• Move to Catalog / Unassign
• Set Author
• Set Description
• Add/Remove/Copy Tags
• Rename Assets
• Remove Assets

I find it best to create a dummy file in the root of an Asset catalog and drive everything from there. That way you can create and maintain your asset folders from that file and move all your assets around with it.
